| 22 February, 2013 - Dutch Off-Road Ducati - River Ground Monster | At the current Dutch motorcycle exhibition, the Utrecht MOTORbeurs, the Dutch Ducati dealer Affetto Ducati, presented a special off-road version of a Ducati Monster.
Some 230 hours of customization was done to make the 1000cc Monster off-road capable for a customer who is going to race it in the Timbuktu Rally. If you're interested, the motorcycle will cost you €16,000.

Many motorcycle magazines have now got an iPad version, and slowly but surely motorcycle manufacturers are starting to get into the game (though I'm still waiting for the manufacturer who releases iPad/Tablet specific motorcycle manuals).
Ducati have got an electric magazine, for free, that you can download and read on your iPad. The magazine, also available in print, is called "Ducati The Red Line Magazine".
The glossy magazine is full of photos of your beloved motorcycles, but in addition to the print version, this one has videos. This edition you'll find an interview with Troy Bayliss, MotoGP, Superbike and the Diavel........

| 11 May, 2012 - Video: Ducati - My Style | #Ducati - Here's a TV commercial that reminds me a lot of the Honda car advertisement featuring a car that is assembled in fast motion from all sorts of parts. Except this ad is in reverse; the motorcycle is stripped of its parts to become part of a hair-do.
The ad is for Taft (hair products), an Italian subsidiary of Henkel/Schwarzkopf, for a competition involving Ducati. The motorcycle in question s a beautiful Ducati Monster. Not bad the ad.

| 23 April, 2012 - Monaco: Unique Auction, Including Ducati MotoGP Motorcycles | RM Auctions are going to have a ball in Monaco. On May 11th, they will be auctioning off the Carlo Saltarelli collection of Ducati motorcycles. Saltarelli was a Ducati motorcycle tester and a big Ducati dealer. His private collection includes many vintage bikes (some 100 bikes), including several Ducati Scramblers, a GT Police Bike and even a 1947 Ducati Cucciolo 48 and a 1950 Ducati 60.
Going through the on-line catalog is an event on its own, so if you have some time on your hands, head on over. It's the only thing that will not cost you any money.
Apart from the Saltarelli collection going under the hammer, Ducati is also bringing in for auction the race bikes used by Casey Stoner, Ducati Desmosedici GP10 « CS1 » (the world championship bike with 4232 km on the counter), and last year's Ducati Desmosedici GP11 « VR2 » of Valentino Rossi (the bike has only 2342 km done).

| 28 March, 2012 - Easter: A Chocolate Ducati Motorcycle | Easter is almost upon us, and the Italian chocolate specialist, Balocco, has an Easter egg surprise for us motorcycle lovers. They are bringing out especially for this Easter, a beautiful, and probably yummy, Easter egg branded by Ducati Corse.
The Ducati Easter egg, not only is 320 grams of milk chocolate done up in the Ducati colors and logos, but inside, there's a surprise. Well, it's not that much of a surprise, since I'll tell you what's inside the egg. It's a 1:18 scale model by Maisto. You can get either the MotoGP motorcycle from Rossi (last year's), a Multistrada 1200 or a Monster 696. Not bad for a "surprise".

| 27 February, 2012 - The Evolution Of The Ducati Superbikes Over Time | A lot has been written recently about the latest Ducati super motorcycle, the 1199 Panigale. From all reports and reviews, it's by far the fastest, most powerful and sleekest sports motorcycle ever to come out of the Italian manufacturer.
Ducati has always been synonymous with fast, sexy and powerful motorcycles. Since the factories started churning out the 851 back in 1988, the Ducati superbike has been a dream motorcycle, winning championships around the world.
Over time, the motorcycle evolution has been noticeable. Not only in terms of engine power, but also in styling. Below are photos of each evolution of the bike, starting with the 851 and ending with the 1199 Panigale. (Finding photos of each model, with a white background, taken from the same angel has proven to be very difficult).
The first image you'll see is an animated gif file I made, morphing each model from start to finish, showing you what the superbikes look like over time, and how they changed. This is followed by a detailed look for each model.

The Ducati ads were made by the Maruri Grey PR agency in Ecuador, land of cocaine and other interesting mind-altering drugs. If it weren't for the Ducati logo at the bottom of the ads, I would have sworn it was not related to a motorcycle company.

He posted his last blog entry, saying good-bye to all. In it he also promised to sell all the interesting stuff he has gathered over the 10 years in his office, including a lot of MotoGP stuff.
