Gas stations are gas stations right? I mean, what's the difference between one or another; maybe the shop, or self-service, the brand. Maybe the gas station operator is better than the next one, cleaning the floor more regularly, friendly.
But if you travel around the world, you'll be amazed how gas stations differ. Many RTW motorcycle riders have found themselves in front of one of these "gas stations", but as the saying goes "any port in a storm". When you need to fill up your motorcycle, you need to fill up. Even when the gas station looks like one of these....

They put their lives in danger to protect us and our possessions, often with disastrous consequences for the firefighters. But getting to a fire in crowded cities is not easy, even if fire trucks have priority. When there's a traffic jam, even they are stuck.
So one way of getting there fast is by motorcycle. Many countries have adopted motorcycles for their first responders. Often these motorcycles are equipped to start putting out a fire until the fire tenders arrive, not an easy task for these brave firefighters. They need to circumnavigate crowded cities on heavy motorcycles, facing first the danger of riding a heavy motorcycle in a city, then putting out a fire. Respect.

| 25 February, 2013 - Motorcycle Manufacturer Smartphone Apps | #Apps #iPhone #Android - Smartphone like Apple's popular iPhone and Google's Android have not only become popular in the general population, but also with motorcycle riders. Games, navigation, social media, knowledge base are just a few of the apps you can get for your phone. But many motorcycle manufacturers have gotten themselves into the game, and are providing custom-made software for you to enjoy, or enjoy in the future, your motorcycle.
Here's list of apps I've found for the iPhone and Android coming from the motorcycle manufacturer. I'm not listing apps from 3rd party providers unless they are closely associated to the manufacturer, and no apps from the manufacturer's dealers, although I'm impressed by the Harley-Davidson dealers.... I don't think there's one dealer that doesn't have an app.

Motorcycles are easy to use for the mailman (and mailwomen) as they don't need to get off to deliver the mail.
Postal services have been using motorcycles and scooters from the beginning when the bikes were created, so it's not a new thing. | 20 August, 2012 - 12 Motorcycles Made Out Of Sand | As kids we've all made sand castles, and some even ventured further by making more elaborate castles with decorated turrets, moats, etc. The kids turned into adults, but some remained kids at heart and continued making sand castles. Except now they're no longer sand castles but very detailed works of art.
Several artists, since that is what they are, make some of the most incredible and imaginative structures made out of sand. One of these elaborate structures they make are motorcycles. Making motorcycles out of sand can't be easy. For one reason, motorcycles have round forms; tires, mud guards, fuel tanks, etc, and making those of out sand can not be easy. But they still do it.

A guy can have sneakers, a pair of motorcycle boots and one good pair of dress shoes, and that's it. But many women have more shoes than what we guys have in underwear. It's not a problem; it's just a mystery.
But what is more of a mystery is when these ladies get on a motorcycle. Quite a lot of them ride in shoes that are anything but adequate for riding. HOW DO THEY DO IT? How can they ride with high, stiletto, heels? Do they not break off? And what about scuff marks?

They have been known to drive trucks and cars full of explosives into crowded areas. Most security authorities have started putting obstacles in place that will prevent a car or truck to penetrate these areas. So the terrorists have turned to motorcycles....
Motorcycles are difficult to stop, since if you can walk there, you can ride there. They don't pack as much explosives, but can have a devastating effect.
