I've programmed a series of articles to keep you amused and interested, so no zapping!
The first speed radar I see will get this treatment. I wonder what kind of a fine I'd get? Probably all they can do is public urination, or would it be destruction of public property?

| 22 March, 2013 - We Will Be On "Those Diner and Motorcycle Guys" Radio Program | #Podcast #BlogtalkRadio #Radio - For those of you who don't know them (they started last year), the "Those Diner and Motorcycle Guys" is a very popular radio program you can hear on the web via podcasting (so you can listen to it whenever and wherever you want).
The USA based radio show has had some famous motorcycle personalities on their show, like the CEO of Brammo Motorcycles, Craig Bramscher and fellow news site operator Basem Wasef (About Motorcycles), Lois Pryce (famous Female RTW rider and book author) or famous personalities like Alexandra Paul (Baywatch TV series), Pat Simmons (Doobie Brothers), actor and stunt rider Dan Haggerty and many others.
Now they'll be talking to little old me, so I guess they ran out of famous motorcycle people...
You can hear me jabbering away on Saturday at 01:00 PM EST (that's 13:00 USA Eastern Time Zone) o'clock and anytime thereafter.

| 1 January, 2013 - Happy New Year 2013 - And Welcome To The New Site | Happy New Year 2013 to all of you, that your year may be full of pleasant surprises, fantastic motorcycle rides, happiness and cheer.
We're ready for another year, and over the last few days I've "redesigned" the site. Redesigned is a big word, it's more that I stripped all superfluous graphics and information to make it load faster, and to enable comments again.
The only problem I continue to have is with Microsoft Internet Explorer. They are such a pain in the proverbial ass that I've put a warning when you read an article on its own, with instructions on how to make the page readable under Micro$oft. Sorry, but I've given up on them.
Let me know if the "design" works for you. I'll leave the site as is until next Monday, ie, I'm still on holiday until then.

| 14 November, 2012 - After My Eicma Scare, Taking A Few Days Easy | After the disastrous Eicma motorcycle exhibition, at least for me, I've been taking it very easy. I've been sleeping 16 hours per day and slowly I'm feeling stronger.
So I've decided to stay away from my computers and cameras for the next few days, giving my body a deserved and welcome break.
I'll be back somewhere next week. Too bad the weather got freezing cold, if not I would have gone out for a relaxing ride.
PS... never party with cardiologists.

| 12 November, 2012 - Eicma2012: Disaster Strikes - Me | Sorry for all those folks who were looking forward to seeing my photos and articles on the latest motorcycles, accessories and demo dollies at world's premiere motorcycle exhibition, Eicma.
I arrived today very early at the Parisian airport for a flight out to Milan, when I collapsed, waking up in the first aid room. I had been exhausted for the last few days, and having not slept the night before, carrying 30 kilos of cameras and computers on my back, was enough for my system to crash, requiring a reboot.
With a drink plenty of liquid, take 2 aspirins and call me in the morning, I was sent home. I wasn't allowed to board. So I've arrived home again. This is the second big motorcycle expo that has gone sour on me, right after the Intermot train disaster.
It's becoming very expensive since my flights and hotels were all prepaid....
Sorry about it folks. Hope to do better next year. For the next few days, I'll leave the pre-programmed articles so I can rest a bit.

| 3 October, 2012 - Intermot2012 and Me | If you've been following my tales of woe on Twitter or Facebook, you'll know that I had to leave the Intermot exhibition a day early, since the railroads in Belgium had a strike planned for Wednesday, the day I was leaving to go back to France. Since I had a not-to-be-missed appointment on Thursday morning, I decided to cut the press-day in Intermot short by half a day and catch the late train out of Cologne to Paris.
This means that apart from 3 press conferences, I was not able to see much else. I did do a quick walk about, but in a hurry. I'll be posting a few impressions of the exhibition in the next two days, but it will not be what you've come to expect from me.
It's become a disastrous trip, costing me a lot of money, since the hotel room was pre-booked and paid, but that's life I guess.
So I'm sorry if you were expecting more from this site, I hope to make up for it in Italy next month at the Eicma exhibition.

| 28 September, 2012 - Loaded - On My Way To Intermot 2012 | I'm on the long road to the German Intermot motorcycle exhibition. It's a long journey, and I should arrive on Monday.
I'll be travelling mostly by train, and this weekend I'll be in Paris, and then by high-speed train to Cologne. I should be back Thursday afternoon, so in the mean time, I've got a few articles pre-programmed to keep you busy.

| 7 August, 2012 - Hosting Company Move - 1-2 Weeks Downtime Expected | I've been having some disastrous weeks with the hosting company I was using for this site. Due to total lack of "service" by the company, with many hours of downtime, I finally pulled the plug and signed up with a more professional outfit.
Normally, you can migrate to another hosting company with one or two days of downtime, but in this case it's going to take a bit longer. This means that this site will not be operating until the move has been done, and all the DNS have been updated. There are a lot of databases to move, and they take up a lot of space.
It will be of no use to update this site with news and articles, since I just don't know if the old so-called hosting company will be up, so I'm not going to bother until I'm back on-line with the new company.

| 25 July, 2012 - Gone To Get Married - 26 Years Ago | Despite all the problems my site is having, between a hosting company that is screwing up royally forcing me to go elsewhere, comments not working for Internet Explorer, and a major reduction in ad revenue thanks to readers using Ad Blockers, I still see the time to go with my lovely bride out to eat in a really good restaurant to celebrate us being married for 26 years. Or maybe because of all the problems....
So I'll be back tomorrow, and hope to thrill and entertain you with more motorcycle stories.

| 4 November, 2011 - Packed The Motorcycle For EICMA 2011 And On My Way | Right, it's that time of the year where I'm heading for the long journey to Milan, Italy to attend world's biggest motorcycle exhibition, EICMA.
The motorcycle exhibition starts Monday afternoon and goes on until Wednesday evening (for the press). Monday morning will have an article or two posted to keep you busy until the press conferences start. Tuesday and Wednesday will be pot's luck, in other words, whenever I have time to post something while running around from press conference to press conference.
In the 3 days, I usually shed several kilos of weight (15 kilo backpack loaded with cameras and computer gear), and some 40 kilometers of walking.

| 16 June, 2009 - Using A GPS In Spain Illegal, Even On A Motorcycle | A law was passed in Spain last week, that makes it highly illegal to operate a GPS on your motorcycle (or while driving a car).
Apparently you are allowed to have one, but not allowed to operate it!
What a stupid way to earn money. It's cheaper in Spain to speed by 30 mph over the speed limit, than to operate a GPS!

Saturday's visit to the local Ducati shop with SWMBO, made me a proud owner of a spanking new Ducati 1100 Multistrada.
So', I'm off playing on the new motorcycle for the rest of the day.
