Annie Seel - Rally Princess
I'm always full of admiration for anyone who rides the Dakar rally, even more so if it's a woman (it's so physical, that you need to have superhuman strength and stamina).

One woman of note is currently riding the Dakar. It the famous Swedish Goddess, Annie Seel.

We've previously reported on Annie's exploits, climbing the Mt Everest on her 21 year old Yamaha motorcycle {link}, but also riding the Baja 1000, The Dakar 2002 (she finished the race i 54th position despite a broken hand), the ORPI Maroc rally, SuperMoto racing, she was elected Swedish Adventure Woman of the year in 2005.

Oh yeah, as an afterthought, she also was the first woman in the Ironman Vegas-to-Reno.

The list is long, very long for this Swedish Lara Croft:

1984: First Motorcycle
1987: Coast-to-Coast Roadrace – 1.000 km on a 250cc 2-stroke

Today, Wednesday, she's running in a very respectable 144th position (she started in 207th position) on her KTM 525 Exc motorcycle. It's quite an accomplishment considering that she's got 3 bad disks in her lumbar region due to a snowboarding accident.

We wish her all the luck. Click here to access her site, and view all her photos.
