The biggest female-only motorcycle enduro race in France, the L'Endurose, was cancelled by the local government, with as reason; the paperwork was too late !! Can you imagine that in an area hit by a general decline in tourism (the Beaujolais region), that the local bureaucrats have the nerve to say that the paperwork was late a few days (OK, they were late one month), and therefore this popular motorcycle enduro race is cancelled.
Hundreds of volunteers have worked on the event, 11 town/cities Mayors are behind the event, so far 112 competitors from all over Europe, plus many sponsors are all being let down !
If this were the Tour de France, I bet you that they wouldn't have the nerve to turn down the application, but since we're talking motorcycles, it was easy to say no. Shame on them !
