The TT-Assen motorcycle circuit is one of the oldest, famous and most loved racing circuits in the world. Almost all the MotoGP riders, Rossi one of them, state that it's their favorite racing circuit.
Now you can match your driving skills with the timings set by the professional boys of the MotoGP (note: the circuit has changed layout, so your timing might be slightly off). A couple of days have been set aside for the general motorcycle riding public to ride on this incredible circuit.
What better than to be able to say "I was ----- seconds/minutes/hours slower/faster than Valentino Rossi at Assen". Fill in the blanks, cross out what's not required....
30th of April and 1st of May is the Landelijke Motordagen (National Motorcycle days) on the mythical circuit. The 1st of May also has special "Ladies Only" sessions.
You can ride the circuit in "touring" mode (riding behind an organizer), costing you €27.50, or you can try to beat Rossi's time for €47.50. Both prices are for 20 minutes on the circuit. You can find out more information at the TT-Assen circuit by clicking here (multiple languages).
10th of May, organized by the Dutch motorcycle magazine Motor Magazine, a special circuit day is organized. For €190 you get instructions, four or five 20 minute sessions on the circuit, and you get lunch....Those of you who are truly gifted can go for the SportGrid sessions, costing you an extra €50 per session.
