BMW-Motorrad and Aprilia Motorcycles are in discussion about further future cooperation. Aprilia used to make BMW's F-series single engine motorcycles until 1999.
Since Aprilia has not been doing so well, and has recently been purchased by Piaggio, they have been actively looking for deals with other motorcycle manufacturers.
BMW has a history with Aprilia, so maybe we can be looking at cooperation in new single engine, light twins (think Aprilia's new 45.V engine {link}) and maybe even the MotoGP.
