As reported by the French Motorcycle Magazine, Moto-Magazine, every 2 years the French motorcycle dealers are asked to grade their manufacturers. They are asked to rank them in terms of 1) the manufactured quality of the motorcycles, 2) the respect and treatment of warrantee issues and 3) spare parts delivery. Here are the results for 2003 (the blue line represents the 2003 results, the purple line the 2001 results): According to the survey, the manufacturer that delivered the best product quality was Harley-Davidson with a score of 8.9 out of 10. The top manufacturers in terms of after sales service were Yamaha (8.2), BMW (7.9) and Honda (7.9). The worst spare parts delivery is attributed to Moto-Guzzi who scored a 3.2.
