It would seem to me that we're starting to see more and more motorcycles in all facets of politics today; trying to get elected (see John Kerry, but also many other motorcycle-riding politicians), demonstrations, pressure /lobby groups. Years ago, riding a motorcycle was a way of bucking the system; rebel! Today, it must mean that motorcycles have become mainstream and accepted..... They are even using motorcycles in political rallys and support marches. | Supporters from the Indonesian Democratic Party-Struggle (PDI-P) the biggest party in Indonesia, drive on motorcycles during a mass rally with 23 other political parties marking the start of the political party's campaign in Bandung, West Java on March 10, 2004. Indonesia's election season formally kicks off on Thursday, with the start of campaigning for parliamentary pools that will held on April 5. The country's first direct presidential election will take place on July 5. REUTERS/Stringer |
