On the 14th of March as reported by MotoMag, there was an unusual race held in France. It was between a motorcycle and a bobsleigh !! Held at the Savoie Olympic bobsleigh track, the challenge was between Bruno Mingeon, Olympic winner in 1998 and world champion bobsleigh, and Jean Michel Bayle (aka Le Kid), world champion motorcross in 1988 and 1989 (and 250 and 500 MotoGP racer). The run was 1.3 kilometers long with 13 curves with a 110 meter descent. At the end of the runs (they ran 3 times), Bayle and his motorcycle beat Mingeon by almost 1 second (45.260 seconds versus 46.208). Top speed of the bobsleigh was 110 kilometers per hour, while the motorcycle "only" went 90 kph on the straight, but the motorcycle went faster in the curves.
