It would seem that Austrian motorcycle manufacturer KTM has become the victim of their own success. KTM Motorcycle's planned annual gathering 4 to 7 May in Mattighofen, Austria has been cancelled! The reason:- the villagers were complaining about the massive influx of people during the weekend. Last year, some 1500 passionate KTM riders came to the party. So next year, the venue will move to Hungary, were it is still possible to hold these kind of events, and where people are actually grateful for the extra business they bring. I'd say within a few years, all motorcycle events will be held in Hungary, Romania or Poland, since environmentalists will have banished anything to do with motorcycles. And in the end, it's these countries that will win, since they get the money, while "environmental friendly" countries will go bankrupt ! (You can see that I have a bee up my bonnet with environmentalists; first the try to kill the Le Touquet enduro, then they try to ban motorcycles in Paris, now they kill the KTM annual bash ! This has got to stop !!! )
