No, it's not the start of an Australian joke, they are truly producing an underwater motorcycle. As found in Gizmo, the ScubaDoo is a Scuba equipped, motorized, motorcycle. It comes with a one hour oxygen tank, 1 1/2 hour battery and can cruise at 2.5 knots per hour.
The idea is that you don't need to know how to scuba dive, nor that you can't dive due to physical restrictions (contact lenses, minor disabilities) or just because you can't swim. There's no face mask, nor breathing equipment. Your head is in the clear glass dome, giving you not only full visibility, but also unrestricted movement.
No prices have been announced as off yet and they're looking for distributors.
I wonder how long it'll be before we see gangs of underwater motorcycles bearing the Hell Angels logo....
