Not a motorcycle post, but very interesting nevertheless. Recently my wife celebrated her 50th birthday. It's a special occasion, and I was racking what was left over of my brains for a real gift. What do you give to your loved one after being married for many years? Jewelry - nope, been there, done that; painting of herself - nope, could be insensitive; new motorcycle - yeah, but very expensive. So, after a lot of thinking and research I came up with a gift idea that I want to share with you. It's something that you too can use, and give for that special occasion (or maybe you need to be forgiven for being out on the motorcycle to long and often). I contacted a songwriter who works on the internet. The site is called Give-a-song.com. You choose the type of song you want it to be (a large choice is available to suite all tastes), then comes a series of email exchanges with the professional songwriter. You tell him the persons life story, and what you want mentioned. The content is up to you. The song writer then puts everything into a song, and then records it professionally. The song then get recorded onto a music CD, and a special CD box is created, including photos and messages you will have sent in. The whole package looks really professional, and when you play the song for the first time to yourself, I'll guarantee that you'll at the least get a lump in your throat. When I presented the song to her at her party, I was smart enough to present it to her with a box of Kleenex. She needed it! But so did the audience! From the 60 odd people at the party, some 40 had tears in their eyes (including men)! I can't tell you how much the gift meant for her. (I also got 4 marriage proposals from some of the ladies, who thought I was the most romantic man on the planet). Many men blamed me for setting the bar too high!!! So, if you really want to score many brownie points with your loved one, or need to be forgiven, head over to Give-a-song.com and get yourself a totally personalized song. Prices are very reasonable, in fact, for the work done, I'd dare say they're cheap.
