According to the press reports & photos, it looks like both sides of the conflict in Sri Lanka use motorcycles.
Here, apparently you see the Tamil rebels on a motorcycle.

While on the other side of the conflict, the Sri Lanka military are also patrolling the streets using motorcycles.
Though by the life of me, I can't distinguish the difference.....
