We've all probably heard of the famous American Baja races. But did you know that in Spain, there's an equivalent race. Called the Spanish Baja race, the next edition is on 20 to 23rd of July 2006. The race is open to trucks, cars, quads and motorcycles, but you do need a FIM/FIA license to start. If you want to participate, you'll need to register before 20:00 on Friday the 7th of July, and it'll cost you €1,000, if you register before the 15th of June, if not, it'll cost you €125 extra. The race is held through the dry and sandy, but beautiful and scenic part of Spain. The itinerary is held secret, but it is known that it's about 800 kms of timed stages, and once you include the liaisons, you'll be riding for about 1,300 kms over 3 days. The race starts in Madrid and ends in Zaragoza. Click here to get more information. (English site)
