Here it is folks! The very first annual motorcycle awards produced by a group of international motorcycle bloggers. For months a group of international motorcycle bloggers have been working behind the scene to produce an award program for the motorcycle industry. Most countries have motorcycle awards produced by their local magazines. Some magazines have grouped together to produce similar awards on a bigger scale. But all these awards are often highly technical, involving detailed analysis and tryouts.

Though these magazine awards are nice, they don't always meet the "mere mortal" view of motorcycle or related products. Often, "mere mortals" look at motorcycles differently than the way "professionals" do. That is why an association of international motorcycle writers (bloggers) has been created. Named Motorcycle Bloggers International (MBI), we even have a website: mbiweb.org.

Next year, we plan to take the award selection a step further ! We want to involve you, the reader, in the nomination process. This year, since it's the first, we did it ourselves, but next year, we'll depend on you.

As a group of motorcycle writers with members in USA, Netherlands, UK, France, China, Chile, Denmark, Germany and Japan, male and female, novice and experienced riders, we created the following award categories:

    What were you thinking ?

BMW Best Web Presence, that is strange, especially with the effort Ducati is making.

The strangest choice for me is the Triumph Scrambler ?

And finally, the fact that there is a category for the ugliest new motorcycle makes you want to click somewhere else really quickly. Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, how dare you assume to have the right to categorise a motorcycle as ugly!!!!

Well, that's just the point Jerry. This is a vote, ie, everyone expresses their choice, and the majority wins...

Just becuase you don't like the Scrambler, doesn't mean other don't see it as a great bike.

I may or may not agree with choices, but they're still the majority!!
