The two actors, Ewan McGregor (Star Wars, Moulin Rouge) and Charlie Boorman (the Bunker, On Edge, and son of John Boorman), have recently started their much publicized trip around the world on their BMW R1150GS motorcycles {link}. Their motorcycle trip is planned to take them from London to New York via China.
The two arrived in Ukraine a few days ago where they were detained by gun-toting militia. Through the intervention of the local film crew that was filming their trip, they were released.
Look like a rocky start to me. Maybe their kidnapping training has come in handy.....
