After the several deaths of motorcyclists over the years, the Dakar race organizers (ASO) have announced that they will impose a speed limit for all motorcycles of 150 kph.
ASO have tried last year to limit speeds by limiting big engines (< 650 cc), but even the 450cc can run really fast, so now they plan to limit the speed full stop. Which might mean that the big twin engines can again compete in this event.
