After 3 years relentless pursuit of speeding, the French government has announced that they are stopping the spread of digital speeding radars. They have reached 1,000 radars throughout the territory, and this figure will remain. They will not go on to the previously announced target of 6,000. The current fixed and mobile radars will still be used for speeding, but not as aggressive as previously. Also, they will start using the radars to catch people who do not respect a minimum interval between vehicles (tailgating).
