KYA Racing's TyreDown
Here's an idea that worth it's weight in gold (and it doesn't weigh much).

The problem;
when transporting your motorcycle on a trailer, to tie it down effectively so that it doesn't go wondering by itself, you need to compress the forks when tying the motorcycle down.

This way, the motorcycle is held firmly in place (although it's been known that motorcycles break loose). The downside is that this is not good for your suspension or forks. The seals can easily pop due to the pressure they are under constantly.

And arriving at your destination with broken seals is not funny. The solution proposed by Australian company KYA Racing is nifty to say the least.

These smart Aussies have designed a system to tie down your motorcycle on any trailer that does not hurt your bike.
Called the Tyre Down TM, the system involves tying down your rear wheels. You slip the system over your rear tyre, secure them in front of the rear tyre, and your motorcycle is tied down in a record time !! You can put as much pressure as your want. Your tyres can take it...

Two systems are available, one for tyres with studs (off road) and one for slicks (road motorcycles).

If you look at the photos you'll realize how quickly you can tie down your motorcycles, and how secure they look.

The are currently sold in Australia and the USA. The version of studded tyres cost US$ 70, while the one for slick tyres costs US$ 85.

On their website, you'll find plenty of photos, and several videos showing you the loading of motorcycles using this system.

No European distributors as off yet, but they're working on it....
