As many of you know, the French adore dogs, but don't like cleaning up after them. Therefore, many cities have installed a "Dog Poop" brigade, consisting of motorcycles and scooters (125 cc usually) that go around the sidewalks every few hours and "suck" in the doggy poops.
They are know in the French slang as "Motocrotte", or "Dog Poop Motorcycles". They don't smell nice, but are very useful, since there are many dogs in Paris....
These bikes, cost the city halls between 40-70,000 Euros per year/per bike. Each bike cleans up about 100kg every day. However, these days are gone in Paris. Due to the rising cost, the Marie de Paris has decided to abandon the project and fine all dog owners if they do not clean up after their beloved poodle.
