The previously {link} announced Enduro Motorcycle Race for Woman (Endurose) was cancelled by the "prefecture" (ie local governor) due to the lateness of the entry by the organizers.
This European race, now in its 4th edition, has had a growing success, but due to bureaucracy they have had to cancel the event. All 112 competitors (14 Italians, 5 Germans, 9 Swiss and 2 Dutch, plus the rest French) will now have to wait one more year. And not counting all the volunteers and organizers who have been working to get this motorcycle race of the ground.
The local Tourist Board, and the 11 cities involved aren't pleased with the decision, but there's nothing they can do.
It's a pity to see local government not being a bit more tolerant. If this was the Tour de France, I'm sure that there would have been no problem !!
