French motorcycle clothing company Xtream Wearther has produced a wearable GPS for motorcycle riders. Instead of fixing the GPS onto your motorcycle, either handlebars or dash, you wear it on your sleeve ! Called the So Easy Rider, the unit is based on an Asus PDA and Designator GPS software. So, not only do you get a GPS, but also a PDA allowing you to store photos, videos, music, spreadsheets, Word documents, etc. The unit has a 7 hour battery life span (23 hours if using the optional external batteries). The So Easy Rider is "fixed" onto the sleeve of your jacket using special velcro straps. This way, you can see the route to take by holding up your arm. According to the manufacturer, it's safer than putting it in front of you, since you'll be fixating on the screen. Added advantage is that when you leave your motorcycle, your GPS leaves with you. The directional arrow is very large, so you'll not have any problems seeing it. The GPS unit "talks" via a wired earphone (not wireless). The unit is equipped with TMC, so you can receive real-time traffic information. Price: €459 for the value pack (GPS, software, map of France, headset) €529 for the premium pack, including external battery and stylet. Click here to access their website
