In Europe, many TV channels show motorcycle stuff on a very regular basis, and some cable channels have dedicated themselves almost exclusively to motorcycles. But living here on this side of the ocean makes you forget that this might not be the case in other areas of the world. The USA is a prime example, since it's TV country "par excellence", with more TV channels than that there are countries in the world. So that's why I say "it's about time" when I learned that the US was finally going to get a motorcycle cable show dedicated to motorcycles; 24/7 !! That's 24 hours of motorcycles, 7 days per week ! So there you go! A TV channel all to yourselves. Called "The Motorcycle Channel", the cable show is slated to start early 2007. And NO, the show is not a Harley channel; the producers plan to show all sorts of motorcycles, from cruisers, to rice burners, to dirt bikes and to rat bikes. Anything with 2 wheels and an engine is fair game! They also plan to cover biker hang outs, restaurants, hotels/motels and camping grounds, or check out the latest motorcycle club. Sounds very promising !! Let's hope they also show you a bit of the motorcycling world internationally. Click here to access their website. (Thanks Lauren H.)
