To celebrate his 10th anniversary as King of Belgium, King Albert II headed up a parade of some 20,000 bikers covering a length of 20 kilometers (12 miles). The King started his favorite motorcycle (to my knowledge this is a BMW, however the photo shows a Harley-Davidson), revved it up, signalling the start of the massive parade.
Unfortunately, for security reasons the King was not allowed to participate, despite the fact that he is a passionate motorbiker who owns several motorcycles.
Click here to read King Albert II's file on "Celebs and their Motorcycles" at Motorbiker.org. The photo on your left was taken for that site, and is NOT from the event itself.
