The French government are planning several new actions to make life even more difficult for us motorcycle riders (and cars). Already, they've reached 1,000 fully automatic, digital, radars. Next year, they plan to install another 500. All new radars will be facing both front and rear, so no escaping on a motorcycle. The ultimate plan is to install a radar every 100 kms !! Furthermore, they intend to remove the warning signs they've put up, telling you that there's a radar up ahead !! Also, they're planning to increase the number of mobile radars !! Another sore point, is that they plan to check average speeds on autoroutes (by means of checking the toll tickets) and tunnels !! Since they've managed to ban 10,000's of driving permits (they estimate 70,000), they are going to bring down the number of months you have to wait before you re-apply for your permit (and pass the tests {link}). Currently, it's a year, and hopefully it'll be 6 months. It's becoming so that you can not speed even a little !! One moment of attention loss, and you're caught. In the mean time, the ministers can drive at any speed they want..... time for another revolution !!
