Cannonball Motorcycle Run map
On August 24th, starting from Dover, UK, a "race" inspired on the Cannonball Run movie, will start for the first time. Details of the itinerary are kept secret, and only unveiled at the beginning of each day. They'll keep you guessing every day on your destination. Just the final destination is know; Paris.

The total length is known, it's about 1200 miles, and will take the motorcycles through the Alps, European backroads and the coastal roads of the Riviera.

Daily you'll average some 7 hours of riding pleasure. It's not really a race, there are no timings, points for who got there the fastest;  it's more a motorcycle rally/event. And it's supposed to be fun for all....

Several parties & surprises are planned along the route, one at a luxurious hotel in Monte-Carlo, while the final party will be held at the top of the Eiffel Tower in Paris. The event is well organized. For your entry fee of £ 1299 per person, your luggage is transported to each hotel while you ride your motorcycle through the planned roads. You arrive at the top class hotels, and your luggage will be waiting for you. Mechanical staff will also be available to help you sort out your mechanical problems you may have developed en-route.

The Entry Fee is £1299 per bike and rider and includes:
  • VIP entry to CBR-2005 Launch Party in London
  • All sea crossings for both bike and rider
  • Fully detailed road-books for the preridden routes
  • Four nights first class hotel accommodation (dual occupancy)
  • Secure overnight parking
  • Breakfast each day
  • Quality evening meals at each destination
  • Mountain roads that’ll have you grinning like a Jap bloke having a wank
  • VIP entry to all parties along the route
  • Official Cannonball Bike Run decals and numbers for your bike
  • Technical back-up and recovery vehicle “sweeping up” along the route
  • All luggage separately transferred between hotels by support vehicles
  • Bonus experiences including Off-shore Powerboat Experience
  • Final Night Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony at the top level restaurant in The Eiffel Tower, Paris
  • Multiple Trophies and special souvenir gifts for all entrants
  • Services of the Cannonball Bike Run Event Managers, Check-Point Chicks, Photographers and Film Crew

Organizer, Nick Duncan said “Everyone knows of the Cannonball movies and road runs for cars but the whole Cannonball story started back in the 1900’s with Erwin G. ‘Cannon Ball’ Baker. Baker was a long distance motorcycle rider who set record after record for endurance and coast-to-coast runs. He provided the inspiration for the car boys who hijacked the name so we are setting the record straight and putting the Cannonball name back where it belongs – on two wheels.”

Registrations are limited to 75 motorcycles, so if you're interested, hurry.
