The Italian motorcycle manufacturer, Aprilia, have launched a revamp of their very popular RSV sportbike model. The RSV 1000 R pictured on your left has gotten a new engine and a new frame. The very superbly styled motorcycle has received a new high performance V60 Magnesium engine that gives the motorcycle 138 bhp with a top speed of 280 kph (170 mph). The bike is lower (- 25 mm) and shorter (- 35 mm) than the previous RSV 1000 model.
The changes to the existing RSV 1000 R are too numerous to list here; Click here to read more about it.
Evoking the racing terminology, Aprilia has broadened their sportbike line with the RSV 1000 R Factory (as in "factory" sponsored racers). The motorcycle will give the lucky rider a "race" feel, with an improved RSV 1000 R race bike.
The changes the bike are in the area of suspension, aerodynamics and stability. Click here to read more about it.
I'd dare say that these two bikes are challengers to the Ducati's....
