Literally !! Lighting struck the powerlines
in our village and fried my main computer's powerblock. And that's the
PC that contains all my stuff. So now I'm on a portable PC, but no backlog
of pictures and stories. So over the next few days, I'll try to find my
backups and work from the portable.
And before you say, get a surge protector,
I had one and a UPS. Both did not work !!! The other computers are fine,
and their surge protectors did work, just my main one died....murphy strikes
!!
On a personal note, I'll be going on
a motorcycle holiday on Monday, heading for Strasbourg, Belgium, The Netherlands
and then Brittany, France. I do have some articles written in advance,
but due to the power problem, maybe not enough to cover every day. And
since we'll be two on the motorcycle, I will not be bringing my portable
PC, so no stories on the road....
