Her life reads like a movie, in fact, some are trying to get a movie made. Angelle Savoie, three time world champion Pro Stock at the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA), started out in the Bayou as a little miss beauty pageant princess. However, she did not like wearing makeup, so she rebelled at the age of 6! She really wanted to ride dirt bikes, so she became a nurse to pay for her "habit".
She was inspired by the movie "Rudy", and tried out for a drag bike and later became world champion in that category.
Lonely from all the travelling, she met her husband, a former NFL player with a career stopping knee injury, on an airplane, and he stood behind her to achieve her dreams. Together with their beer-guzzling, POWERade-pumping, Coke-sipping pet monkey, Andy, she has reached her objectives.
Hollywood couldn't have written a more romantic, dreamy, rags-to-riches movie....I think I'll give it a miss....
