Just a quick follow-up of this morning's find: Special GPS Route Calculator for Motorcycles. The software, called Onroute, will be sold at a maximum price of €135, and a minimum of €99 (depending on membership of specific organizations, and GPS purchase).
They now also have a website (onroute.nl). It's in Dutch, but on the left you'll see in the navigator "DEMO". Once there, you can download a PowerPoint presentation. Although in Dutch again, you can see from the screen snapshots how it works. On the same page, at the bottom are two routes generated by their system that are visible in Google Earth.
You can print out a complete roadbook from the proposed itinerary.
It's still not obvious for me if the base maps is a standard one that can be used around the world, or if you need to buy it directly from them. In other words, will this work in the USA or Asia ??
