Last Sunday we went to a special event hosted locally at the Cany-Barville castle. It was the annual horse & buggy race ! Buggies with one, two or four horses were entered in this 2 day event. On its own, quite spectacular, even if you're not a horse aficionado. But what made it interesting for us, was that the Paris Motorcycle Police had their exhibition squad there to show off their skills. Their warm-up was something that anyone who has followed some special motorcycle course can have done (ie legs of the motorcycle, standing on it, etc), but once they were going, they were quite impressive. This was even more so, since they were riding at a pretty high speed, on uneven grass (where the horses had been prior). All in all, a nice day to spend. The Police put up a nice show, the horses were impressive, and the castle scenery spectacular.
