Here's an interesting and novel way of trying to get out of a speeding ticket (however, it didn't work). Gary Philips, a 39 year old Royal Marine corporal in Wales, UK, tried to "pervert" the course of justice.
He got caught by a speed radar doing 75 mph in a 40 mph zone, and when the ticket and photo arrived, he painted his motorcycle from the original silver color to black. He then told the Police that his plates must have been cloned, since he had not been riding the motorcycle.
They're not saying how he got caught...but it looks like a pretty smart deal to me. Maybe the paint wasn't dry when the Police came along and checked....
