The Reverend Paul Sinclair, from Motorcycles Funerals Ltd., UK, while riding his Triumph Speed Triple Motorcycle Hearse to bury Ronald Howell, got pulled over by the Police today ! The reason: He was not wearing a helmet!
According to the Reverend and the Funeral Director (who was riding as pillion passenger), they do not need to wear a helmet since the hearse was licensed as a car, and therefore they did not need one. The Police took photographs, and after 10 minutes let them go pending further inquiries.
The irony was that the Funeral Director had asked for a Police escort, and none was given....
What a sight this must be, rider and pillion passenger, dressed in black on a motorcycle with no helmets.....
