I was watching a TV program yesterday (it was raining and didn't want to go out for a motorbike ride), and there I saw this incredible vehicle (for no better description).
It is a 2 seat "car" (3 wheels) where the passenger sits behind the
driver, and that rides like a motorcycle, or better yet, rides like a jet
fighter plane.
It is the Carver, from the Dutch manufacturer Van Den Brink. The interesting concept is that the engine sits in the back and the front compartment rotates left and right. So when you take a curve, you take it as a biker would; a curve to the right makes the compartment rotate down towards the right (and you don't need any sliders).
Seeing a video of the Bike/Car/Convertible/Trike/Quad Device going through the curves is an impressive sight, and it must be tons of fun.
The Carver 's hard roof can be taken off, so you'll feel much more like a motorcycle.
The Carver has a 65 hp engine, goes to 100 kph (6 mph) in 8.2 seconds and has a top speed of 180 kph. No prices are given, but each unit is built 'made-to-measure' and it takes 5 months to get one!!
