The Italian motorcycle manufacturer Gilera has announced the first automatic gearbox based motorcycle !! And that coming from a motorcycle manufacturer whose parent company makes scooters (Piaggio)....
The street fighter style motorcycle, with an 850 cc, 90° V twin engine, is called "Ferro" (Italian for Iron). The transmission is actually an electrically controlled servo motor that changes the gears.
