The Paris motorcycle show has not even ended yet, and the next show/exhibition is getting ready; the Tokyo Motorcycle Show (and cars). This monster event is to open its doors on the 21st of October, and will last until the 6th of November. Press days are on the 19th and 20th of October. Press conferences are scheduled on the 19th by Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, Kawasaki, Moto Guzzi, Kymco, Triumph, Harley, BMW and Ducati. Usually, this monster show doesn't show any real news from the European or USA motorcycle manufacturers, nor do any of the Japanese manufacturers really show new motorcycles (but then, maybe they'll surprise us), but what a lot of them do launch are CONCEPT motorcycles !! So I'd expect to see several new concept motorcycles (like Yamaha's MT-0S) to see the light of day at this show. Often these motorcycle turn into production ones within a few years. Since the show's theme is "Driving Tomorrow", I'd also expect to see many new technologies, specially hybrid, electric and other alternative forms of energy sourced motorcycles. No, I will not be attending.... still recovering from the Paris one.... Click here to access the Tokyo Motorcycle Show website.
