The Warwickshire Road safety folks in the U.K. have come out with a motorcycle awareness/anti-speeding campaign called BUMMER (Be Under Maximum MPH Every Ride) ! Not only does the campaign name stink, the acronym is too far fetched and childish !
That some people need to be more sensible about speeding on motorcycles goes without saying, but usually this type of a campaign will have as only effect the alienation of "normal" bikers.
Treat us like children, and we'll behave like children !
The motorcycle speeding campaign consists of four cartoons showing bikers that have gone too fast and spun out of control. The cartoon posted here shows a tombstone that reads "A Burn Too far"....
To me this seems like one local government that has spun out of control and decided to waste some tax payer's money.
