It's not something you'll think about real quickly when riding your motorcycle but carrying a medical first aid kit is not a bad idea. Accident do happen to anyone, no matter how good you are ! And when the accident happens, it might take a while for emergency services to arrive, so what better than being able to tend to the first aid yourself. And remember, it's not only crashes we're talking about. Slowing down for a red light, and loosing your grip on the road can be enough to scrape some part of your body, and even burn your leg if your motorcycle exhaust falls on you. So why not carry a small but well though out medical kit with you. These folks, Hermosaworks, are selling an in-expensive kit made specifically for motorcycle riders in the USA. Priced at $32.00 each, it's not something that's going to break the bank, but maybe one day you'll be glad you had it with you. Click here to access their website. If you live in the U.K., you can buy a kit for £17.80 from Motorcycle UK Limited. Click here to access their website. If you want to constitute your own kit, here's a website that has a comprehensive checklist. Click here to access it. And remember, don't pack the kit at the bottom of your top case or bag. You don't want to be searching for it in case of an emergency.... And finally, if you've got a medical first aid kit, it would be nice if you knew how to use it properly. A couple of hour first aid training is never wasted. Almost all cities offer first aid training, and if you look carefully, you'll find many that offer special courses for motorcycles. Who knows, maybe one day you'll save someone's life......
