Over the weekend, I received an e-mail from Danny Varanne, one of the stuntmen (one of three brothers) of the movie "Violetta, the Motorcycle Queen". I had recently put this movie on my "Motorcycles in the Movies" website. Danny mentioned in his e-mail that they have a website where they promote their stunts. So I had a look, and this is what I found: The Globe of Death Their organization calls itself the "Infernal Varanne" and their main attraction is called "Globe of Death", which also plays the central part of the above mentioned movie. It consists of a round metal globe in which there are one or two motorcycle riders who ride around at 60 miles per hour (there can even be three riders AND a girl standing in the middle of the globe). The riders ride around at high speed missing each other by inches while performing several stunts. The stunt work in the movie was amazing, so I'd presume that seeing this in real life must be something else. The group can be hired for events, since their globe is moveable. According to their website, there is a variety of entertainment available (not all centered around motorcycles). If you have a look at the movie page on my website (link) you can see some photos of their stunts in the movie itself. Click here to access their web site.
