At the German Intermot motorcycle exhibition, Dainese introduced a new series of protective motorcycle clothing featuring a neck protector. After many years of increasing protection for motorcyclists, concentrating on knees, elbows and backbone, the next has typically been forgotten. It's only after a few deaths in races by famous riders that manufacturers are looking at a very fragile place of our body; the neck. KTM and BMW have jointly produced a neck brace {link}, and Dainese are now selling the Neck system on several of their protective clothing. The Neck protector system can be obtained in one of their jackets, which obviously offer all the other protection you'd expect from a high-end manufacturer. The Neck protector should protect you from whiplash since the system prevents your neck from going backwards. You can also get the system without the jacket. Cooling System Dainese also announced that they are working on a cooling system to be built in their jackets. The system would work without having to plug yourself to the motorcycle, ie, no leads. Availability: 2007. These items and their airbag vests is really going to be safe, but .... you'll really look like the Michelin man.
