Kevin and Julia Sanders, an English couple, are returning home after breaking two Guinness Book of World Records. During 2002, the couple broke the world record for the "Fastest Circumnavigation of the World by Motorcycle". Both were riding, two-up, on a BMW R1150GS, covering a total of 19,461 miles in 19 days !!! During the incredibly long journey, they averaged 1,000 miles per day and visited 12 countries on four continents. This year, they broke the record of riding between Prudhoe Bay (Alaska) and Ushuaia in the southern part of Argentina, riding the 16,974 miles in 35 days, beating the previous record by 12 days ! Again, they were riding the BMW R1150GS-Adventurer two-up. Obviously this is most impressive considering that they were riding two-up and still beating the record set by a car, where the drivers were able to alternate drivers. My biggest question is whether they also broke the record of the number of arguments ;-) Click here to visit their impressive website.
