Asian security manufacturer, Xena is known for its motorcycle disc and chain locks, some with integrated alarms. They have just enhanced their product range with three motorcycle garage alarm systems. According to UK statistics, some 80% of all motorcycles that are stolen, were at the motorcycle owner's address. Half of those were stolen from a locked garage! Xena are offering three alternatives to secure your precious motorcycle inside your locked garage: The simplest alarm, called the XENA Door Alarm, uses adhesive magnetic pads between the door and windows. When the contact is broken, a 130db alarm is triggered. The 2nd option is the XENA PIR Alarm. This consists of a wall-mounted unit equipped with a 90° infrared movement sensor, operating up to 6 meters. The unit is powered by its own AA batteries, so you don't need to have a power outlet. A remote control turns the sensor on or off. The unit itself is equipped with a 130db alarm siren, enough to deafen any person. Their 3rd option is their top-of-the-line unit, the XENA Ceiling Mount PIR. This unit, as the name explains, is mounted on the ceiling and cover 360° below it. The unit is activated/deactivated by remote. As with the other units, the alarm is equipped with a deafening 130db siren. No availability of international prices are known as of yet. It's not an original concept, but this one has been made specially for smaller garages, specially for motorcycles. But for around €50 you can't go wrong. There's no data yet available on how sensitive these units are, specifically if it'll be set off when a cat gets into your garage...
