 Rip-off artists exists everywhere, in every slice of life. Just because the motorcycle community is a close-knit group, doesn't mean that there are people out there that will try anything to part you from your hard earned money. Two crooks had successfully convinced 200 people to invest in their company that would produce inflatable motorcycle vests, called "AirVest" (would that be a contraction of Air Investment - invest in Air???). They told potential investors that Harley-Davidson was investing in their company (why would Harley invest in an inflatable vest...?). One of the two crooks also said he was the son of billionaire Kirk Kerkorian (if you've got so much money, why do you need to have money from investors ?). These two "masterminds", John and Toni Duhamell, used the money from the investors to purchase luxury homes and cars, and spend it on a lavish living style. Now, they can live in "luxury" for 7 (and 4) years in jail. If they had only a bit more intelligence than their current room temperature I.Q., they should have taken the $5.6 million and fled to Rio.... Click here to read the whole story.
