It's not something you stop and think about when riding your motorcycle, but someone had to design the bike !! And normally, that someone would have had to study bloody hard to be able to design a motorcycle (or, for that matter, anything else). Richard C. sent me a website URL. It belongs to the Huddersfield University, School of Design Technology, based in the UK. The School of Design Technology teaches the art of design, and I mean Art with a capital "A". On their website, you will find tons of design examples of the students of the School. Not only motorcycles, but any object, from cars to watches to axes to sunglasses. And not only the glamor stuff, but everyday items. You'll also find specific items, such the proposed front wheel of a Indian motorcycle. It was designed by Amardeep Bansal. Click here for more photos of this motorcycle. There are a couple of very nice and futuristic motorcycles on the website. This one would look very well in the Ducati product range; it almost looks like it was designed for Ducati. The rear of the motorcycle looks fantastic, and I for one, would love to see this little beauty on the streets. I specially like the touch of the two colored tires (=tyres).... The designer is called Rob Slade, and if you click here you can see more photos of the motorcycle. Amardeep Bansal also designed this motorcycle. It would look great in a Terminator movie.... so futuristic. It has the Dodge Tomahawk look to it. Awesome! Click here to see more photos of the vehicle. Click here to see many more designs. (thanks Richard C.)
