This is going to be a second motorcycle exhibition in the French capital. Well, actually, it'll be the first, since it's going to be held between the 20th and 26th of February 2006. And this time it's not in Paris itself, but at Le Bourget (where the famous Paris Air Show is held). Le Bourget is an airport in Northern Paris used for private aviation and it is very close to Paris's main airport, Charles de Gaulle. Although it's a motorcycle exhibition, the organizers are planning several "try it out" events. Static Show There's going to be the "normal" show of new motorcycles, probably all the new motorcycles introduced in the previous Paris show and the Milan EICMA show. A total of 37,000 m2 of motorcycles. Village There's going to be a motorcycle village populated by companies selling directly to the public, usually at discounted prices. Here, you'll be able to purchase motorcycle accessories, clothing, helmets, etc. It's your chance to use the money you've been saving for Christmas... Exhibition Outside there are several tracks, tarmac and off-road. You'll be able to see what can be done on a motorcycle (or ATV). There will be several demonstrations programmed each day. There will be 2.3 km track used for sports & race motorcycles, 1.2 km track for enduro and motocross and 1.1 km for trial motorcycles (and ATVs). Initiation Further more, there will be three road tracks and one off-road track to initiate newcomers to the world of motorized two wheels. There will be several 125 cc and 50 cc motorcycles, and ATV/Quads to try out your new passion. Initially, the newcomers will receive a basic training, using video techniques, and then they are let go on the tracks. The 125 cc track is 1.1 km, and further there's a 2.3 km track for you to try out one of the secondhand motorcycle that are for sale there. The whole thing looks like a fun event, not just static presentation of motorcycles, but you can see them in action, and you can try some yourself. The area is open from 10:00 in the morning until 19:00 in the evening, and on Friday and Saturday until 20:00 in the evening. It'll cost you €10 to get in (discounts for groups).
