Not satisfied with TV Ads for their motorcycles, Harley-Davidson also have ads for their "other" stuff (reputed to earn them more money than selling motorcycles - merchandising).

Here's a TV commercial for their motorcycle jacket.

I just wonder why he removed his jacket to do the burn, and then put it on to ride away ?? Or was he doing the burn on his jacket ?

    I think, since it is cold for those north of the equator, he was warming his jacket up. That's the meaning I take anyway.

    smell

    Henk is right, it's the smell. The R.U.B. wanted his new jacket to smell like it belongs to a real motorcycle rider, not the poser to whom it actually belongs. As the say goes "You are what you pretend to be" or at least some motorcycle owners seem to think that is the case.
