Here a product of our times; ICA's Moto-Alarm. It's the usual alarm system to ensure that your motorcycle is not stolen, but it also has an "anti Jacking" capability. More and more motorcycles are stolen while the rider is on the motorcycle. With todays sophisticated alarm and anti-theft devices fitted into motorcycles, thieves need to come up with a different strategy. And the strategy is increasingly becoming that of hijacking the motorcycle. They just throw you off the motorcycle while you wait at a traffic light, and ride it away.
By hooking yourself up to the device installed on your motorcycle, if someone removes you from your bike so that they can ride it away, it will cut-off the engine, thereby preventing the bike-jacker to steal your precious motorcycle.
ICA also have an anti-jacking device that works without wires. You are equipped with a small wireless token. Once you are a few meters (yards) away from your motorcycle, it will automatically cut the engine. At this moment, the anti-"bike jacking" device can only be sold for non-gearbox driven two wheelers (ie scooters).
