Israeli inventor/physicist Glen Guttman and his company Entrosys has produced a prototype of the first portable and wearable air-conditioning unit for motorcycles! The unit consists of a small electronics box that can be stored in a case, topbox or tankbag, and a specially developed thermal underwear. The underwear is hooked up to the box, and cools down (or alternatively, warms up) the motorcycle rider by using electronic currents. No compressor is needed, so the unit runs on normal motorcycle 12V power. This unit can be heaven sent for those that ride in full leathers and often have to stop (eg riding in big cities). American and French investors are currently looking at mass producing this air-conditioning unit for motorcycles. Cost will be a couple of hundred US$. Click here to read more about it.
