Inside Bikes report on a very interesting motorcycle alarm system, the MST Bike Guard ! This £ 199 unit functions as a conventional alarm system (ie, it protects your motorcycle in case of someone trying to steal it), but with a twist:
The Bike Guard is equipped with a GSM transmitter (which means that your motorcycle will have its own telephone number - how chique!!). This means that when some wanker is trying to steal your motorcycle, you can program it to sound an alarm, or to be silent, but in any event, the alarm unit will send you an SMS message to your portable phone telling you that your motorcycle is being stolen.
What's also interesting, is that you can track your motorcycle either via the internet, or by calling their 24/7 call center. There, you can find your motorcycle within a few meters range !! Handy if you want to place justice into your own hands.....
.... or to have your wife find out that you're not at work, but at the pub !! ........
